Elsmere's Mobile Barber, At Your Door.

Serving Elsmere, Delaware

Elsmere is a town of about one square mile and just over 6,000 residents (2020 census), next to Wilmington's western border. It was developed in 1886 as the first suburb in northern Delaware and incorporated in 1909. Delaware Route 2 (Kirkwood Highway) is its main road, heading east to Wilmington and west toward Newark, with Dupont Road (DE 100) running north–south through the eastern part of town and DE 141 close by through Prices Corner. We serve homes throughout Elsmere.

Elsmere is compact, with several small parks — Junction Street Park, Fairgrounds Park (the town once hosted the Delaware State Fair, from 1917 to 1928), Joseph R. Walling Park, Maple Avenue Park and Veterans Park — and its own library, run by New Castle County Libraries. The Wilmington VA Medical Center is also in Elsmere. If a veteran in your family finds it hard to get to a barbershop, we come to the home.

Elsmere sits only about a mile and a half from Wilmington, which makes it an easy addition to a day in the city. Families here have schools close by — Austin D. Baltz Elementary and All Saints Catholic School are both in town — which means plenty of school pickups and weekend games. A haircut that comes to the house takes one more car trip out of that week.
